As of late...

I have been having fun finding and up-cycling vintage wood boxes. The "hunt" is definitely part of the fun. It is amazing what can be found cast off as no longer useful.

Cigar boxes are amazing, really. The wood grain is often surprisingly beautiful. The process of discovery is part of the joy in creating. Once sanded down, stained, painted lined with cork or felt, and lacquered they take on an attitude of usefulness.
